Welcome to the Migrant Center Website which hosts a Legal Database for Migrants in Lebanon. It aims at enabling visitors to learn about the laws, the jurisprudence the international treaties and other useful information.
As is well known, the laws managing the presence of foreign workers in Lebanon are not as elaborate as one can expect in a country with such a high number of foreign workers. The laws made decades ago for a small and limited number of foreigners can in no way suffice for the large number of foreign workers now present in Lebanon. Indeed they have been inadequate to treat the dozens of daily problems arising from these numerous foreigners and their interactions.
The last law to deal plainly with the foreign workers in Lebanon was the law of 10 July, 1962 concerning the entry of foreigners into Lebanon and their residency.

أهلا بكم على هذا الموقع الذي يحتوي على قاعدة بيانات تختص بشؤون العمال الاجانب في لبنان. يهدف الموقع لتمكين زائريه من التعرف إلى القوانين والاجتهادات والاتفاقات الدولية المختصة بالعمال الأجانب.
كما هو معلوم، إن القوانين المحلية في لبنان التي تحدد وضع العمال الأجانب ليست على مستوى يتماشى مع الأعداد الكبيرة للعمال الأجانب في هذا البلد إذ تعود معظم القوانين إلى عشرات السنين حيث لم يشهد لبنان وقتها هذه الأعداد الهائلة من العمال الأجانب مما يجعل القوانين الحالية غير متلائمة مع المشاكل المتشعبة التي يواجهها العمال كما تلك الناجمة عن وجوذهم في لبنان.
يعود آخر قانون لتنظيم وضع الأجانب في لبنان إلى عام 1962.
